Letter to Fred Zeidman, chairman of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum
Nov. 10, 2004

I am writing to you in your capacity as chairman of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. We at Holocaust Museum Watch are concerned by the absence of museum program’s on Arab anti-Semitism. A museum which was built to honor the memory of those who died as victims of anti-Semitism and to spread awareness of the tragedy caused by the political use of this hatred needs to take a leadership role in exposing Arab anti-Semitism. Arab anti-Semitism has not only poisoned the minds of millions of Arabs against Israel and has labeled the Holocaust a fake, it is widely credited with being the engine behind the re-emergence of European anti-Semitism in exactly the areas where Jews were murdered during the Holocaust.

The US Holocaust museum should be at the forefront of the fight to disclose the re-emergence of this hatred. We look to the museum to fashion important programs focused on Arab anti-Semitism. We are not aware of the museum conducting important programs focused on Arab anti-Semitism – its exposition of Jew hatred in schools, media and mosques, using many of the images directly from Nazi propaganda.

We would like to hold a meeting with you in Washington D.C. as soon as it can be scheduled to discuss how the museum can focus on Arab anti-Semitism and Holocaust distortion.

I look forward to hearing from you.
